Nature of work
The work of a teacher differs according to the level of the job. Nursery level teachers introduce kids to numbers, languages and basic science and trains them to use their hands and how to co-ordinate their limbs. Junior school level teachers educate students between the age group of 7 to 12 from class 1 to 7 standard. Teachers of secondary school level teach students from class 8th to 12th standard. College and university level teachers give lectures and guides and help the students in their academic and research work.

Personality traits
This profession of teaching requires keenness, patience and perseverance. Teacher should have the ability to communicate well, to create a liking in young minds even in the case of uninteresting subjects. A teacher should be the friend, guide and philosopher to his or her wards. They must encourage in students the ability to think and analyze.

Eligibility required for teaching
Nursery school: Minimum qualification required is 10 + 2
Middle schools: Minimum qualification required is 10 + 2
High schools: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), minimum qualification required is Graduation.
College/universities: Post Graduate degree, have a preference with doctoral degree.

Remunerations
Depending on the candidate, need, experience and mostly performance of school the salary is negotiable factor and it can be anything from Rs 2000 onwards may be also. At primary level teachers earn approx Rs 5000 to Rs 8000 whereas at senior levels teachers can get approx Rs 12000 to Rs 15000. Perks and other benefit are also enjoyed by them such as free meals, accommodation and other facilities it depends on institutions. At senior level the salary is around Rs12000 to Rs 15000.
